That’s why United Airlines and American Airlines are teaming up with Vail and Beaver Creek resorts in Vail, Colorado to offer families the deal of the season: kids fly, ski, and stay for free. Considering that plane ticket can set you back around $300 to $400 per child, and lift ticket start at $140 for three days, this deal offers some serious savings for families! With combined savings totaling at least $500 per child, there’s never been a cooler time to hit the slopes.
The free airfare portion of this offer is valid on direct flights to Eagle Airport in Vail with the purchase of one adult ticket. Upon your arrival at Eagle Airport, kids will also receive free transportation to Vail and Beaver Resorts — a 35-mile journey. In addition, kids stay and ski free, which will save families hundred especially on extended stays. For Kids Fly Free, the only requirement to be purchased with the flight is lodging.
Note that although both airlines are offering this amazing deal, each one has separate travel and booking dates. The American Airlines flight offer is valid through December 17, and January 3 through February 10, 2010. AA tickets must be booked by February 10. The United Airlines offer is valid January 6 through February 12, 2010, but tickets must be purchased by December 31.
Families can fly to the resort on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and depart from the resort any Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Any combination of travel within this period is allowed.
Furthermore, additional exclusive offers can be combined with Kids Fly Free special. Upon arrival, guests can show their boarding passes at any Vail and Beaver Creek ticket window, and receive one free lift ticket — valid the day of arrival only.
If this isn’t enough to draw the regular ski bunnies, the Vail and Beaver Resorts are offering a “buy three, get one free” deal on skiing and lodging which can also be combined with the family offer. Simply purchase of a three-night stay and three days of lift tickets and receive the fourth night stay and fourth day ski pass free.
