The deal
Make it a New Year’s resolution: give yourself a little more R&R in 2010, and start by visiting The Sands at Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos — they’re offering 25 percent off rack rates on all room categories from January 2 through February 12.

Rates start at $214/night (originally $285) for a courtyard studio, and includes unlimited access to non-motorized water sports such as kayaks, windsurfing equipment, and snorkel gear. Guests can also use the resort’s bicycles, tennis courts, and Wi-Fi at no additional charge.

About the resort: The luxurious, family-friendly resort fittingly bears the name of the bay on which it sits: Grace Bay Beach.

It offers guests a variety of accommodations — from studios to spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites with fully-equipped kitchens that contain superlative stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The Sands at Grace Bay also features three free-form swimming pools, a spa, and a beachfront restaurant.

The dollars
Rates are based on double occupancy. Taxes and fees are additional.

The catch
This isn’t an all-inclusive resort, so you’ll have to pay for meals and drinks.
