The extraordinary sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. This photo was taken on December 20th, 2009. It was 13 degrees outside and the cold air made for fantastic colors. It was pure joy to be there and experience that sunrise.

In between the ice houses of northern Minnesota, people hibernate quietly. The air is sharp. The snow is crunchy. Yet, the sun continues to rise. This picture was taken on New Year's Day dawn. The weather was near negative 20. Cold? yes. Beautiful? Always. For some reason, tourists like to visit during the summer.

The Eiffel Tower at sunset. I was playing around with the fisheye feature when I realized it framed the picture perfectly! An awesome remembrance of an unforgettable trip!
