The deal
Ah yes, the Grand Canyon — it’s the home of 2,000 years of geological history, stunning views of a seemingly never-ending horizon, and, to put it mildly, a petrifying mile-deep drop down to the raging Colorado River. There are many ways to visit this legendary national park, but few rival a 3.5-day guided white-water rafting expedition on 88 miles of torrent rapids — especially when it’s $285 off the standard rack rate!

Wilderness River Adventures’ Be a Kid Again package is priced from $965 for select dates from April 16 through August 20. In addition to the 88-mile trek down the mighty Colorado River, the deal includes all meals (primarily home-style and barbeque), drinks, and all the essential camping equipment (sleeping bags, a foam pad, ground tarp, tent, etc.). Adrenaline junkies will also have ample opportunities to explore hidden cascading waterfalls and crevices during their trip.

The dollars
Prices are based on double occupancy. Taxes and fees are additional.

The catch
You’re roughing it when nature calls.
