Authorities say an airplane flying from Germany to Turkey has been diverted to an airport in Greece after a threatening message was found written in one of its bathrooms.

The Turkish airliner, carrying 62 passengers and six crew members, was evacuated when it touched down in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, and is being searched.

Police said the English-language graffiti found in the bathroom included the words "will die today."

No arrests were immediately reported.

The Sun Express plane was traveling from Stuttgart, Germany, to Izmir, Turkey, when it was diverted.
