The Real Deal: In honor of the Syracuse basketball team's No. 1 seed in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the city has launched a "1 for 1 Orange Special" that provides $1 deals at 23 local hotels, restaurants, museums, spas, and attractions.

At hotels, book three nights and get the third night's stay for $1; nightly rates start at $107 for the Best Western Liverpool Grace Inn & Suites and $112 for the Arbor House Inn.

Other deals include a 750 ml bottle of wine for $1 at Lakeland Winery and an entrée for $1 when you buy a regularly priced entrée at Speedy Greens Organic Restaurant.

When: Through May 1; not available March 24–27.

The fine print: Hotel taxes are an additional 13 percent. Hotel rates vary based on availability and travel dates. Check in must be Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
