Wyse Gyrls partner with sister brand STEM JAM GYRLS to launch a national science, technology, engineering and math pop party tour aimed at helping girls master STEM education and obtain high achievement in STEM careers. The dynamic pro-education teams plan to blind 'em with S.T.E.M. 5.0 to battle America's current STEM underachievement problem.
STEM JAM GYRLS begin hosting their first series of STEM workshops for girls April 3, 2010 in Beverly Hills, San Diego and Orange County before embarking upon a nationwide tour to spark innovation by girls in STEM. "STEM JAM GYRLS Workshops are filled with stem-tastic girl focused experiments to help girls understand how relevant, fun and mission critical STEM mastery is. STEM JAM GYRLS create sparkly chemistry explosions, self-esteem bots, anti gravity stilettos, boyfriend spy drone aircraft, girls learn how to select the best biological mate using neuroscience, develop iPhone apps, then design phones of the future and more," adds Rhonda Coleman, Chairman and CEO of STEM JAM GYRLS.
The Inaugural STEM JAM GYRLS Competition will be held in October 2010 at The St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA. Girls will compete for scholarships and prizes by producing innovative solutions in STEM competition themes including Space Stations, Energy, Food Shortages, Health Care and Technology. Major themes in STEM JAM GYRLS Competitions are essential to solving global problems but some are just purely for the fun. "There's a little mad scientist in all of us girls," says Coleman.
STEM JAM GYRLS pledges up to $100,000.00 in scholarships for girls who win STEM JAM GYRLS COMPETITIONS, which will be matched by strategic partners, esteemed sponsors and donors with a vested interest in girls becoming innovative and excelling at STEM.
WYSE GYRLS Katherine Realpe and Ashley McJunkin and STEM JAM GYRLS are a multicultural group of teens. STEM JAM GYRLS Priscilla Casper, Kimberly Casper, Cilver Coleman and Coryn Mabalot are also straight "A" honors students, bilingual and gifted in STEM.
