The deal: If you haven’t yet experienced Celebrity’s new Solstice class, now is the time to do so at some downright affordable prices. The cruise line is offering free upgrades from oceanview to verandah staterooms on select Caribbean voyages aboard the Celebrity Solstice (launched in 2009), plus $100 onboard credits, and reduced rates for additional passengers.

The Celebrity Solstice was the first ship to debut in the new upscale Solstice class, followed by the Equinox, and the soon-to-launch Eclipse (which debuts in April 2010).

Onboard the Solstice, passengers will encounter a unique lawn club on the top deck, a hot-glass show presented by the Corning Museum of Glass, and elaborate dining venues showcasing French, Italian, and Asian-fusion cuisine.

Special offers aboard the Solstice are available on four diverse itineraries embarking from Fort Lauderdale that call on Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Honduras, the Cayman Islands, and many other sun-filled islands.

These 7-night itineraries are priced from $599 (for interior cabins) or $799 (for oceanview staterooms) embarking from May 2 through Oct. 31. Third and fourth passenger rates start at $399.
