A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of explosive devices found in east Texas mailboxes during the past month, federal authorities said.

U.S. Attorney John M. Bales says an east Texas man was arrested without incident in Tyler.

Two more suspicious devices also were found in Tyler on Wednesday. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spokesman Tom Crowley didn't immediately have details about the devices.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said details about the suspect would be released at a Thursday news conference.

Not counting Wednesday's discoveries, authorities have said at least 14 explosive devices were found since the beginning of March. Five were reported to be pipe bombs. None has detonated and no injuries have been reported.
