Think you’re the target of an Internet scam? Here are some suggestions.

The government has prepared a list of common email scams – along with typical pitches the scammers use.

Just click on this link to see if an email you get matches a well-known scam.

If you think you’ve been the target of a scam, there’s an easy way to report it:

The FBI in cooperation with other agencies has set up a website where you can describe what happened to you.  nvestigators try to match up your report with similar complaints in an attempt to track down the scammers.

It’s called the Internet Crime Complaint Center (“ic3” for short) - and you can find it here.
