Hercules Offshore Inc. on Monday said Lisa Rodriguez has stepped down as chief financial officer, but will remain with the oil drilling company as vice president of human resources.

Taking over as CFO is Stephen Butz, who had been serving as the Houston-based company's vice president of finance. Butz will retain his position as treasurer, and will add the title of senior vice president.

Butz joined Hercules Offshore in February 2005 as director of corporate development at the time of the company's initial public offering. He was appointed vice president of finance and treasurer in October 2006.

In addition, Troy Carson was named chief accounting officer. Carson had been serving as vice president and corporate controller. He joined Hercules Offshore as vice president and corporate controller in March 2007, and was named principal accounting officer in July 2008.

Hercules shares rose 15 cents, or 4.8 percent, to $3.24 in morning trading.
