How Tyson Foods Inc.'s business units performed in the second quarter:

CHICKEN: Revenue rose 5.6 percent to $2.49 billion, while sales volume fell 4.3 percent. Prices rose 10.2 percent.

BEEF: Revenue rose 14.2 percent to $2.76 billion, while volume rose 5.4 percent. Prices gained 8.4 percent.

PORK: Revenue rose 10.1 percent to $929 million, but volume fell 4.3 percent. Prices surged 15 percent.

PREPARED FOODS: Revenue rose 7.3 percent to $734 million, while volume rose 5.6 percent. Prices increased 1.7 percent.
