TEMPE, Ariz. — Amtech Systems Inc., which makes equipment used in the manufacture of solar cells and semiconductors, said Monday it got about $15 million in new solar orders since April 1.
The company said the orders pushed its solar orders to $98 million since the start of the fiscal year Oct. 1.
The orders for Amtech subsidiary Tempress Systems came from two new and one current customer in Asia, the company said.
Shares rose 40 cents, or 4.7 percent, to $9 in afternoon trading.
