More than 180 passengers have been evacuated from a plane on the ground in the Netherlands after an auxiliary engine malfunctioned shortly before takeoff, local media are reporting.

No injuries have been reported.

State broadcaster NOS says passengers had to leave the Transavia airlines Boeing 737 via inflatable slides after a flame in the engine triggered a fire alarm. The engine is located in the plane's tail.

The flight had been due to depart Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport for Faro, Portugal, with 186 passengers, the NOS report said Monday.
