Southwest Airlines says one of its St. Louis-bound flights from Seattle had to be diverted to Nebraska after a passenger pounded on the cockpit door and demanded to see the pilot.

St. Louis radio station KMOX reports that the male passenger was arrested after the plane landed Wednesday in Omaha, Neb.

A Southwest spokesman says it's unclear why the man became irate.

The man's name was not released, and there was no immediate word on any charges.

The plane had more than 100 passengers and continued on to St. Louis after the man's arrest.
