AirTran Airways on Friday launched an across-the-board fare sale for dates around the Fourth of July — but you'll have to buy fast.
The fares, as low as $59 one-way, are only on sale Friday and are good for travel from June 29 through July 7. There are no blackout dates.
Although the number of fare sales among domestic airlines has fallen recently, airlines are ramping up the number of impulsive sales this summer that have a limited buying window. These types of sales are aimed at rousing interest on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
