Why it's a deal: According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fares between L.A. and Honolulu start from $396 with taxes for travel in late August (United). Add to that about $202 per person for six nights in a city-view room at the Maile Sky Court, including taxes, and your total for accommodations and airfare is $598 when booked independently. For $9 less, this Apple Vacations package includes the round-trip flight, six nights' accommodations with a free upgrade to an ocean-view room, round-trip airport-hotel transfers, and all taxes and fees.
More: Optional activities include a tour of the island ($57 per person) and surfing lessons ($75 per person). Additional nights at the Maile Sky Court start from $35 per person per night.
