logar province
. we have seen checkpoints set up by u.s. and nato troops. doing vehicle searches, they have issued not only -- put up posters, but also issued leaflets with the photos of the two men and an offer of $20,000 for information leading to these two missing individuals. today meanwhile, the
taliban
has claimed responsibility for the incident, saying that it has killed one of the two sailors in a gun battle that alleged broke out when this vehicle with the two sailors inside made apparently a wrong turn and ended up in a
taliban
contested or
taliban
controlled area of
logar province
. one afghan official claiming that the
taliban
would like to negotiate the exchange of the body of that sailor for an undetermined number of insurgent prisoners. officially, the
taliban
