LONDON and BOGOTA, Colombia, Aug. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comcel, the largest Mobile Operator in Colombia, and ROK Entertainment Group, the mobile technology, applications and services company, have today announced the launch of Ideas Web TV, a streamed, on-demand mobile TV subscription service.
Powered by ROK's award-winning 'ROK TV' video-streaming technology, Ideas Web TV will offer an initial package of Mobile TV channels to include Discovery Movil, Discovery Kids, Nickelodeon, Playboy Lifestyle, ESPN, ESPN-X, Wappo TV, Disney Channel and National Geographic.
The deployment of Ideas Web TV in Colombia follows the successful launch of ROK-powered Ideas TV with Comcel's parent group America Movil and its operator Telcel, in Mexico in September 2008.
Comcel has stated its delight in joining Telcel in being able to offer its customers the highest quality streamed mobile TV service available which it will promote as a monthly subscription service priced at $15,000 COP per month (approximately USD $8.25 per month).
