ATLANTA, Aug. 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Third party logistics provider (3PL) Triplefin LLC, a premier provider of outsourced order-to-cash business process solutions to leading companies in the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries, has implemented the Manhattan SCALE™ (Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution) portfolio of solutions from Manhattan Associates (Nasdaq:MANH) to optimize distribution processes in two new distribution centers (DCs) in Cincinnati, OH.

Manhattan SCALE's flexible architecture enabled Triplefin to migrate nearly 40 clients to its new DCs quickly, on budget and without any service interruptions. Triplefin began by moving two clients per month to simultaneously accommodate the new Manhattan SCALE solutions while the company's old system was being phased out.

"Manhattan Associates is a world-class, solid operation with reliable, flexible solutions that are well respected in the industry. It was the pinnacle provider we were searching for," said Jim Rhyne, director of distribution for Triplefin. "We were able to move our clients to the new system quickly and efficiently— pretty amazing considering each client had their own set of operations and interfaces."

Triplefin has already seen significant increases in productivity and has reduced labor expenses by improving overall system availability in the DCs. In addition, the company has reduced overtime shifts and maintenance issues while completely automating the shipping department, allocating labor to other areas in the DCs.

"Manhattan has elevated our operations to new heights, allowing our brand to propel our clients' brands ahead with great momentum," said Rhyne.

Manhattan SCALE is designed to be "scaled to fit and ready to run" for companies with execution-focused supply chain needs who desire speed-to-value and resource-light system configuration, implementation and maintenance. Manhattan SCALE is a portfolio of distribution management and transportation management solutions built on Microsoft.NET® technology that leverages sophisticated optimization techniques to improve the flow of goods throughout supply chains. Manhattan SCALE enables companies to tie together processes, data and workflows to increase order accuracy, improve deliveries and gain total visibility into inventory.
