Deputies arrested a 10th-grader at West Ouachita High School on Friday, and the sheriff's office said the teen was linked to the shooting deaths of his parents.

Sheriff's Maj. Jason Pleasant told The News-Star that a juvenile was arrested in the deaths of Tammy Fletcher, 41 and Johnny Fletcher, 50, at a house about 10 miles from the school. The juvenile was charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

West Ouachita Parish High School officials said 10th-grade student Dalton Fletcher was arrested. Pleasant said the deaths were directly related to a lockdown Friday morning at the high school, where a threat was made to a student.

Schools Superintendent Bob Webber told the newspaper one student there was arrested while attending class and a shotgun was recovered from his truck.
