JUPITER, Fla., Sept. 13, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GelTech Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:GLTC), creators of FireIce, a revolutionary water enhancing fire suppressant that has the potential to change current firefighting techniques globally, announced today that they are in Colorado to assist local, state, and federal efforts in taking control of the wildfires that rage in Boulder and Loveland.

GelTech initiated use of FireIce in Colorado to help with firefighting efforts and to protect homes that are in the path of the fast moving fires. FireIce is easily applied to the exterior of a home to protect from radiant heat and flaming embers. FireIce leaves no residue and easily washes off with water and is environmentally friendly.

Thousands of gallons of FireIce are on-scene and available for use by the Fire Service. "We have enough product to protect 200 homes and help in any way we can," said Michael Cordani, CEO of GelTech. "With the FireIce Home Defense Unit being introduced to the market in October, it gives us the ability to demonstrate in real time the effectiveness of FireIce", Cordani added.
