ORANGE, Calif., Sept. 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, a Southern California charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced that Antonella Castro has joined its board of directors. Ms. Castro is currently an associate in the real estate group of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker LLP in its Orange County office.

Ms. Castro's professional practice includes a wide variety of real estate transactions, including development, leasing, acquisition and disposition, and construction and joint ventures for public companies, institutional investors, developers, tenants and individual investors. Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Castro was a project coordinator for The Rodarti Group, where she represented developers and equity investors in all aspects of ground up construction. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Andrew J. Wistrich, United States District Court, Central District, Western Division, and as an investigative intern for the Federal Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C.

In addition to serving on the Canyon Acres' board, Ms. Castro is the Vice Chair of Orange County United Way's Women Looking Forward, and is an attorney volunteer for the Orange County Public Law Center. Castro holds a JD cum laude Order of the Coif from Loyola Law School and two BA degrees from the University of California, Irvine.
