BOSTON, Sept. 22, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENOC), a leading provider of energy management applications for the smart grid, today announced that its first annual EnergySMART 2010 Conference will begin this evening, with a reception featuring special guest FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff, and run through September 24th. More than 30 industry luminaries will be speaking across four different tracks focused on demand response, data-driven energy efficiency, energy supply management, and carbon management.

With approximately 600 commercial, institutional and industrial facility managers, operations managers, and C-level executives, as well as regulators and smart grid industry influencers in attendance, representing 42 different states and nine different countries, EnergySMART is poised to become the premier energy management conference for end-users looking to get the most value from smart grid technology.

"We want to bridge the gap between an academic analysis of energy management trends and the hands-on information that attendees can take back to their organizations to drive real savings," said Gregg Dixon, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EnerNOC. "The EnergySMART conference program is designed to share best practices from some of the world's most forward-thinking and successful energy management practitioners and the industry's thought leaders that are responsible for shaping how the energy management industry will evolve."

A full list of conference speakers is available on the EnergySMART 2010 Conference website at www.energysmartconference2010.com .

In addition to the four conference tracks, EnerNOC will be hosting "EnerNOC U" for existing EnerNOC customers interested in hands-on product training or prospective customers interested in learning more about EnerNOC's energy management applications. Several beta products will be previewed at the conference as well.

EnergySMART will also feature a special reception for registered attendees at Fenway Park, America's oldest major league baseball stadium currently in use. Participants will be able to tour the fabled park and take a few major league swings in the player batting cages, while enjoying music from EnerNOC's own house band, which competed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of Fortune's Corporate Battle of Bands finalists.
