NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Navatar Group, a global cloud service provider, today announced the appointment of Aurobindo Sarkar as vice president at Navatar's Cloud Computing Excellence Center in NOIDA, India. Aurobindo joins Navatar Group after an illustrious career of more than nine years at Deloitte, where he was Director, Technology Integration, serving a global customer base.
At Navatar, Aurobindo Sarkar will help execute on the vision for rapid product and organizational expansion to cope with the demand for Navatar's cloud computing products and services. He will be working closely with Navatar's Principals, also Deloitte veterans.
Sarkar's teams will be responsible for product development, management, support and pre-sales for Navatar's popular cloud and CRM products in Financial Services, for Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Capital Markets, Private Equity and Investment Banking/M&A. He will also be responsible for the delivery of all consulting work related to Navatar's ISV and Enterprise customers.
Aurobindo Sarkar's background includes:
- Over 19 years of technology and management consulting experience including 9+ years at Deloitte Consulting (Canada, U.S. and India).
- Over a decade of offshore technology delivery experience, working for integrators such as Deloitte, Wipro and Mahindra.
- Supported several large U.S. and Canadian organizations including major television networks, financial services institutions, telecommunications companies, and public sector organizations.
- Extensive architecture experience including cloud technologies such as Google and salesforce.com and multiple legacy technologies.
- Deep technology education:
-- B.Tech (Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
-- M.Tech (Management) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
-- MS (Computer Science) from New York University.
