A Philadelphia tow truck driver has been charged with murder after allegedly running over another driver in a dispute over a woman and towing territory.

Police say Glen McDaniel ran over Ray Santiago, 30, early Sunday in the parking lot of a bar in the Kensington neighborhood.

Authorities say the men were arguing when McDaniel, 25, got into his truck and ran over Santiago, then backed up and hit him again before driving off. He was arrested a few blocks away.

McDaniel is charged with murder, homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence and related charges. It's not clear if he has an attorney.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported that a memorial featuring dozens of candles was established Sunday in the parking lot. A balloon bearing the words "Love you Daddy. I'm gonna miss you soo much!" was also left at the scene.

One friend of the victim, who didn't want to be identified, described him as a "hardworking man."

Disputes among Philadelphia wreck-chasers have turned violent before. In July, another driver was charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a rival at a crash scene.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
