Eagle Bancorp Announces Agreement to Acquire DC Branch From OBA Bank

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eagle Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq:EGBN), the parent company of EagleBank, today announced that EagleBank, its wholly-owned bank subsidiary, has entered into a definitive agreement to assume approximately $17.2 million of the deposits of OBA Bank's Washington, D.C. branch at 700 7th Street, NW and to operate a branch office at that location. The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2011.
