NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 28, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Holiday shopping is made easy at The Christmas Company, the largest annual fundraiser of the Junior League of Orange County, Calif., Inc., (JLOCC). More than 90 vendors from Orange County and across the United States will be featured November 11-14 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.  

The array of high quality items includes something for everyone, ranging from gourmet food to unique home decor and garden accessories; men's, women's and children's clothing and jewelry -- gifts for all ages and even for pets.  "Kitchen items from A Store for Cooks, imported linens from Lavender Blue, and clever party ensembles from Posh Party Box can be found at the event," says overall chair Jaynine Warner.  "Unique personalized and commemorative ceramics from Timree are very popular. Party clothing from Designer Details and children's books from Whale of a Tale are just a part of our huge selection."

At the Opening Night Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 10 (6:30 – 10:30 p.m.), restaurants including Blue Water Grill, Five Crowns, Melting Pot and Newport Rib Company, among others, will provide small plate dining for the evening.  Wines and signature cocktails will be provided by Gallo Family Vineyards. Entertainment and Live and Silent Auctions will also be part of this event priced at $75 per person. The Christmas Company will be held at the OC Fair & Event Center located at Fair Drive and the 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa. 

A Preferred Shopping Breakfast held 9-11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 11 ($35), will start the overall event.  Guests will enjoy a glass of champagne and breakfast while enjoying their exclusive two hour VIP shopping experience.  No baby strollers are allowed at the Preferred Breakfast.   A Luncheon with Olympic Medalist Janet Evans and evening Culinary Class with Zov Karamardian of Zov's Bistro who will autograph her second book, will be held Friday, Nov. 12. Mother-daughter tea parties featuring the "Fancy Nancy" series of children's books on Sun., Nov. 14, are sure to sell out quickly.

The Christmas Company general admission is $10 per person, which includes entrance to the shopping extravaganza.  Parking at the OC Fair & Event Center is $5. General admission hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11; 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12; 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. , Saturday, Nov. 13; and 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. , Sunday, Nov. 14. General admission tickets good for multi-day entry will be available at the door and online at . Tickets for the special events also will be available for purchase online or by calling (949) 263-3785.
