DANVILLE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVEW) today announced additional professional match-ups scheduled for the October 16, 2010 World Championship Full Contact (WCFC) event at The Rail Event Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The October 16th pro-am event will feature three professional fights, including the previously announced match between "Super" Steven Siler from the Riven fight team and Steven "Razor" Sharp of Absolute MMA, and 7 amateur bouts with fighters from some of the western United States' top mixed martial arts facilities, including Absolute MMA, The Academy, The Bernales Institute, Kingdom Klub, and Wicked Ways Muay Thai.

The co-main event on October 16th will feature "Disco" Dave Foley, the owner of Foleys MMA, versus Utah's newest bad boy, Dave Baldanado, in a professional lightweight match-up. The WCFC is pleased to present the professional debut of undefeated Team Riven fighter Wesley Clinton doing battle against One Hit MMA and Jordan Smith prodigy Jordan Chandler.

"October 16th is shaping up to be the most exciting WCFC fight card yet," said Johnny Riche, head of LBH Productions, which is producing the event. "The main event match-ups are worth the price of admission alone, but the WCFC has worked hard to stack the card with great fights from top to bottom. I am not sure how we are going to top this fight card for future events."

The October 16th event will be recorded and provided to Comcast, the largest provider of cable and broadband services in the United States, as part of the agreement make WCFC content available on Comcast's video-on-demand service (VOD) in the Mountain West region. The WCFC expects that its VOD content will next be offered to all 11 Western states and, ultimately, the entire U.S. market.

The WCFC plans to hold monthly pro-am events, similar to the October 16th event, in venues across the United States. The last pro-am was held on September 4, 2010 at The Scrapyard in Ogden, Utah. Large-scale events with all-professional fight cards are also planned in selected markets.  The September 4th event, held before a capacity crowd, featured two professional matchups and seven amateur fights, including two female bouts.

At the September 4th WCFC event, Steven Siler defeated James Francis by submission using a guillotine choke.  Steven "Razor" Sharp last fought in an April 3rd WCFC event at The Rail where he won a unanimous decision over Dave Castillo in a 3-round slugfest. The bout was considered by many to be the best fight in Utah in recent memory.

"If Siler versus Sharp is any indication, the October 16th promises to be a tremendously exciting and entertaining evening," said Johnny Riche, head of LBH Productions, which is producing the event. "Siler is the top 145-pounder in the west and has had a few fights at 155. He is ready to face Sharp, who one of the top 155-pounders. This is a fight that has been in the works for 6 years and is one that everyone in Utah wants to see. The rest of the fight card for the October 16th event will be set shortly and announced as soon as possible."
