A group of 33 miners have been trapped since Aug. 5 in a Chilean gold and copper mine. Now in constant contact with the outside world through narrow holes, the miners have access to food, water and some of the comforts of home like TV. But despite the opportunity to do video-teleconferencing with loved ones above ground, the miners are still trapped a half-mile underground and may be there until early November when the government estimates the rescue holes are done.
