DANVILLE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVEW) today announced the company's expectations for record attendance at the October 16, 2010 World Championship Full Contact (WCFC) pro-am event being held in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition to a new marketing strategy for the next live event, the company is also producing high definition shows for distribution in international markets and has solidified plans for upcoming WCFC events in new U.S. and international markets.

WCFC is anticipating record attendance for its October 16th Beginnings event at the Rail Event Center in downtown Salt Lake City.  A new marketing strategy has been adopted wherein WCFC is emphasizing direct push-down marketing to large consumer blocks rather than less targeted media such as radio and television.  WCFC is marketing through the local National Guard, the university ROTC, fire and policemen's unions and fraternities.  This targeting marketing is expected to be more successful, since several of the amateur bouts on the October 16th card will feature fighters from these organizations.

WCFC has also reached an agreement to produce each of its events into 30-minute high definition television shows for distribution into international markets.  Each show will focus on one fight from the event and include back story on the fighters, interviews with the fighters and trainers, and the fight itself.

Commenting on the production and distribution of the events, Johnny Riche, director of WCFC fight promotions, said, "The creation of a reality show-type of series for the international market represents a significant opportunity for us to expose the WCFC to a huge worldwide audience.  Unlike other fight programming, our show will focus on the fighters and have a lot more action, since we're cramming an entire fight plus everything else into a half-hour format.  The shows will be fast paced and dynamic.  We expect that this exposure will drive more viewers to the WCFC.com website where they can then watch our live events featuring many of the fighters they are already familiar with."

Riche also commented on the expansion of the WCFC outside of the Utah market, "WCFC has also reached agreements to bring our live shows to Boise, Idaho and into Canada.  We are exploring the available dates and our preferred venues and expect to announce firm dates in the coming weeks.  We are also working on agreements to start monthly live shows in southern California, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. By the middle of 2011, we anticipate being able to offer our Internet viewers one or two live events every weekend."

In response to questions about broadcasting previous WCFC events on Comcast Video-on-Demand, Riche indicated that all previous WCFC events should be available on VOD from Comcast by the middle of October.
