(Pink Sheets:GCKO) announced today that they have built an assembly line in their R&D facility and received critical components and subsystems to enable near term expansion of their ongoing elder care robot trials. This new hire enabled us to secure some electromechanical subassemblies that have long lead times. I am pleased to report that with the set up of the production line in our lab, the receipt of the custom subassemblies from Regal Manufacturing, and redesign of our robot controller board, the GeckoSPIO(tm), now addressed, we have initiated manufacturing to expand our world's first trials of a new type of surrogate companion for the elderly, the CareBot(tm).

Like an automobile, mobile service robots are made from steel, aluminum, plastic, and electronics, but with ten to twenty times the amount of software running.
