LAKE FOREST, Ill., Oct. 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wintrust Financial Corporation ("Wintrust" or "the Company") (Nasdaq:WTFC) announced the appointment of David E. Lee as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lake Forest Bank & Trust Company (LFBT). Based in Lake Forest, LFBT has seven locations in Lake County, with locations in Lake Bluff, Highland Park (as Highland Park Bank & Trust), Highwood (as Bank of Highwood-Ft. Sheridan) and North Chicago (as North Chicago Community Bank).

Bringing extensive commercial banking and credit experience, Lee assumes responsibilities at LFBT after joining Wintrust in 2009 as Chief Credit Officer for Northbrook Bank & Trust and President of Buffalo Grove Bank & Trust. Prior to joining Wintrust, Lee spent 23 years at JP Morgan Chase and its preceding companies, including Bank One, First Chicago NBD and American National Bank, where he was Senior Vice President responsible for the Middle Market Commercial Banking operations for Northern Cook, Lake and McHenry counties and Rockford. Lee received a B.S. from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University.
