BALTIMORE, Md., Oct. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VSYM), a security and tele-data solutions provider, announced today that two ViewScan Concealed Weapons Detection Systems have been ordered by the Prince George's County Government.
In addition to the ViewScan, Prince George's County will also be utilizing View's latest model Positive ID Verification System to screen, log and print badges for visitors. The system scans the 2D bar code on the back of the visitor's driver's license, then scans the text and photo on the front. It also has the ability of scanning multiple fingerprints. All this information is logged in the system so that when this person revisits this facility, the officer at the door can pull up all the information recorded for a positive identification of the visitor.
ViewScan units are currently deployed in most Maryland and New Jersey correctional facilities, as well as in courthouses, banks, schools and other professional buildings across the country. In addition, ViewScan has been utilized on a rental basis by major banking firms to secure their shareholder meetings. It was also retained as part of the security measures for the Clinton Global Initiative five years in a row.
