FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Oct. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HBR Labs LLC, a global web-based collaboration services provider, today announced the company has raised $2 million in funding from private equity investors. The capital will be used to accelerate the growth strategy for its advanced web meeting, document sharing and multi-media collaboration solutions: ShowDocument () and VeriShow ().

"We plan to build on the significant progress we've made in key industry verticals for both ShowDocument and VeriShow," says Yuval Moed, co-founder and CEO of HBR Labs.  "We've already signed contracts with organizations in the financial services and e-commerce sectors and are very active in the healthcare sector as well. This funding will enable us to go after additional target sectors that have already embraced live support on their sites, and are eager to adopt the kind of multi-media functionality HBR offers."

ShowDocument is designed for individual users as well as a range of business and non-profit organizations which need an easy way to collaborate on the web. The platform allows collaborative sessions on-the-fly, and users can share documents and utilize interactive whiteboards quickly and easily with a single click.

VeriShow's tool kit improves web-based sales, service and training, including integrated text, voice, video, document sharing and co-editing, joint form completion and electronic signature, interactive white boards and more.

For example, a sales representative can show visitors a three-dimensional model of a product and demonstrate how to utilize features, and rural doctors can share radiographs and consult with a specialist in an urban medical center.  VeriShow's multi-media tool provides an experience that far exceeds the capability of live chat and phone, and represents the next generation of live web-based interactions.

"Our goal is to bridge geographic separation and even language barriers, allowing people to work together productively," said  Moed.

All HBR Labs applications are compatible with standard web browsers and require minimal bandwidth and system resources. Because VeriShow and ShowDocument are 100% SaaS platforms, users don't need to download or install any software; they simply click on a link to initiate or participate in a real-time online collaboration session.
