SUNNYVALE, Calif. and COLUMBIA, Md., Oct. 19, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SAT Corporation has significantly enhanced its SigMon® Radio Frequency (RF) Interference Detection and Geolocation solution to provide advanced broadband Direction-Finding (DF) capability that can locate transmitters in both frequency hopping and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) networks. The new features are particularly valuable for military test range operations in the United States and abroad.

With SigMon, test range operators are able to proactively detect, geolocate and eliminate sources of RF interference before it causes operational issues. SigMon's automated monitoring network enables more comprehensive spectrum management and reduces costly mission delays and interruptions. SAT Corporation has completed delivery of multiple fixed-site and mobile SigMon systems to test ranges throughout the United States.

"SigMon's open architecture affords operators a greater range of capabilities while providing unmatched system flexibility by easily incorporating third party instruments," said Bob Potter, President of SAT Corporation. "Our new system is uniquely suited for military test ranges, offering enhanced capability for RF spectral analysis, signal direction finding and Geolocation. In addition, it can be managed from a central location to allow remote operation of assets in isolated or hazardous locations, and provide real-time data analysis and mapping of RF emitters."

As a Systems Integrator, SAT Corporation is uniquely suited to solve the complex set of requirements unique to test ranges. Unlike custom-built spectrum monitoring systems that become unsupportable soon after the development phase, SigMon is a complete, turn-key RF monitoring system composed of modern commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and commercially-proven hardware. As a commercially developed product, SigMon is continually enhanced by a dedicated software team as new instrument and computer technologies become available.
