The 2011 HITEC 100 were selected based on a criteria that evaluated their individual achievements in the industry, professional level, scope of responsibility, position held in their companies, as well as their involvement in boards and diversity initiatives.

"The HITEC 100 showcases the best and brightest in the IT industry.  In these changing economic times they are game changers that not only create value for their corporations but also create value for the global IT community," said David Segura, Vice Chair of HITEC.

"I commend the leaders highlighted in the HITEC 100 as they are examples in the Hispanic IT community of what we should be striving for: Leadership operating at the highest levels of corporations and impacting many industries and governments by creating more efficiencies and solving the challenges of the day through information technology.  This is why we showcase these leaders," said Alberto Yepez, Chairman of HITEC.

About the Hispanic IT Executive Council:

HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council) was founded by senior Hispanic IT executives who have built outstanding careers in information technology but realized that there are far too few Hispanics in the IT leadership role. With a strong desire and passion to make an impact within the Hispanic IT community by helping others reach the highest levels, HITEC was formed in late 2006. These national leaders include executives leading Fortune 500 corporations on both U.S. and global initiatives while others lead some of the largest Hispanic owned IT firms in the United States.
