Ground has been broken for a $5 million expansion of the Queen City Regional Medical Clinic in Spearfish.

The Black Hills Pioneer reports that the 14,000-square-foot expansion is expected to be ready in about a year.

Officials say it will allow for the addition of services, centralize patient care areas and provide more convenient parking. The clinic also will be able to accommodate five more physicians, for a total of 18.
