Southwest Airlines Co. said Friday it named a longtime pilot its first vice president of the operations coordination center.
Jeff Martin joined Southwest in 1990 as a pilot and most recently served as assistant director of operations. He has worked on navigation programs and studied the possibility of adding a new, larger type of Boeing 737 to the company's fleet.
