CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The PLANET BOTTLE Corporation, which trades as (OTCBB:IMGM), will attend the Private Label Manufacturers Association Show (PLMA), which will start on November 14, 2010 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The PLANET BOTTLE is receiving a high level of interest in their new concept PET plastic bottle that displays the GREENEST Bottle on the Planet logo. Private labelers are looking for an eco-friendly edge over brand owners. The PLANET BOTTLE logo denotes three ingredients:

  1. A PET plastic bottle that is made from 100% bottle-to-bottle recycled plastic called rPET.
  2. A proprietary additive which causes the world's only PET plastic bottle to oxo-biodegrade in landfills or the environment.
  3. An oxo-biodegradable, peelaway label is used that induces customers to remove the label and set the bottle up as more recycling friendly. Our first label has a discount .50¢ off coupon on the inside of the label.

The PLANET BOTTLE is promoting spring water to start only because of the high profile and general disdain that certain consumer groups have had for plastic bottles that last for 400 to 1,000 years or almost forever in landfills or the environment. The primary customers for the GREENEST bottle are, however, targeted towards the world's worst polluters with PET plastic bottles, which are the ketchup, honey, mustard, olive oil, vitamin, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, kitchen and bathroom products, cleaning fluids and carbonated and specialty drink manufacturers. Most of these bottles do not get recycled. The PLANET BOTTLE is rolling out its first GREENEST Bottles on the PLANET in a strategic alliance with Boreal Water ( / Michael @ 1-866-429-0101) (Stock symbol BRWC on ). No bottled water company can afford to have the consumer start to perceive that a bottler is a Polluter of the Planet by Plastic. It is reported that there are 6 lbs of plastic for every 1 lb of plankton in the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch.

In the Northwest region we are working with strategic partner Velendo PET Preforms and Bottles ( / Vincent @ 360-281-6532) in order to find a flagship product bottled in PET plastic in Oregon or Washington state and make a strong eco-statement with The PLANET BOTTLE: the GREENEST Bottle on the Planet.

Patrick Rooney, CEO of The PLANET BOTTLE stated, "It is reported that 400 billion PET plastic bottles are filled annually mainly with consumer food, drink, household and health/beauty aid convenience products; 300 million of these PET plastic bottles are discarded to landfill or the environment. Every piece of PET plastic ever made still exists somewhere in our universe and it will be there for hundreds of years. Responsible private labelers will give their customers what they want, a solution against plastic pollution of the planet. At the PLMA, we will look to private labelers who generate collectively $85 billion in annual sales or 23% of the market for all bottled products in order to achieve an edge over the brand owners by offering the consumer a GREENER solution for their PET plastic bottled products. We are looking for early adopters and will work with them in their quest to gain market share. We are going to work with early-adopters and reward them with special deals and joint promotions."

With more than 2,000 exhibit booths, the show spans five halls of Chicago's Rosemont Convention Center. Exhibitors come from more than 35 countries.

Buyers come from all over the world – supermarkets, supercenters, discounters, drugstores, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, importers, exporters, wholesalers of all kinds, even military exchanges – to source and learn about the latest trends.
