Foreign Policy at Brookings and NBC’s Meet the Press hosted a panel discussion focusing on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the future of the U.S.-NATO mission. David Gregory, host of NBC’s Meet the Press, moderated the session, part of a monthly series of discussions on foreign policy. Panelists included Brookings Senior Fellow Bruce Riedel, Brookings Fellow Vanda Felbab-Brown, and former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ron Neumann.

Two respected Washington institutions, NBC’s Meet the Press and joined forces for a monthly discussion series focusing on critical foreign policy issues confronting the United States today. NBC’s David Gregory launched the series with a discussion on the midterm election and its impact on Obama Administration foreign policy.  As moderator of the series, Gregory will contribute his own extensive knowledge of the Washington political landscape to discussions of today’s vital foreign policy issues - the Iranian nuclear standoff, the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, the global Al Qaeda terrorist threat, as well as other key foreign policy issues facing the United States today.
