DETROIT, Nov. 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A store that will remain open for only five weeks promises to be one of the most unusual Christmas outlets in Detroit history.

Its name is Gifted: A Holiday Boutique. Its location will be the new art gallery of Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR) on Monroe Street. Gifted will open every Friday through Christmas Eve and will offer one-stop shopping by stocking items from some of downtown and Midtown's most interesting stores.

"Gifted is an opportunity for downtown workers, residents and visitors to explore what local Detroit businesses have to offer – some of the most unique objects and engaging experiences in the entire metro area," said Meg Heeres, art curator at Compuware.

Among the stores whose clothing, design work, books, fine arts and other products will be on sale at Gifted are City Bird; DSE@Grand; Motor City Sewing; Rags; Review Contemporary; Leopold's Books; Bureau of Urban Living and Wheelhouse Detroit.
