NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mercer International Inc. (Nasdaq:MERC) (TSX:MRI.U) (the "Company") today announced that it has completed its previously announced private offering of $300 million in aggregate principal amount of 9.5% Senior Notes due 2017 (the "New Notes"). The New Notes were issued at a price of 100% of their principal amount. The net proceeds from this offering, together with cash on hand, will be used to finance the tender offer and consent solicitation for any and all of the Company's currently outstanding 9.25% Senior Notes due 2013.
