WILMINGTON, Del., Nov. 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced that Mark A. Turner, President and Chief Executive Officer was presented with the CEO of the Year award at the recent Delaware Valley HR Department of the Year Awards dinner. Mr. Turner was recognized at the 13th Annual Dinner and Awards Presentations event on November 18, 2010.  

The award is given to the Chief Executive Officer who has provided investment growth and service improvements for customers, and ensured the welfare for performance of all employees with a proven awareness of the human resources function and its importance to the success of their organization. The CEOs nominated were also judged on overall leadership qualities, and the innovative change they have driven to positively impact their employees. The annual event took place at the Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
