VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 29, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- biOasis Technologies Inc. (TSX-V:BTI) announced today that it has commenced a sponsored research agreement with the National Research Council ("NRC") of Canada. Under the terms of the agreement, the NRC will evaluate the ability of biOasis' compounds to cross the blood-brain barrier using time-domain in vivo optical imaging.

"The agreement with the NRC will provide the company with demonstration of the ability of TranscendTM to carry a fluorescent dye that is normally excluded from the brain, across the blood-brain barrier.
