MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Geeknet, Inc. (Nasdaq:GKNT), the online network for the global geek community, today announced an enhanced partnership with OSDN K.K. in Japan as part of an overall strategy for International growth of the media business.

Effective immediately, the agreement includes increased collaboration and cross-selling between the media parties. OSDN K.K., which owns and operates SourceForge.jp and Slashdot.jp, will now have access to sell Japan targeted advertising inventory on both SourceForge.net and Slashdot.org. Likewise, Geeknet's sales force will begin to sell advertising on both .jp sites.
