After years of finding King Features Syndicate's comics strips in the funny pages, the company is making them available on portable devices, too.

The company said Thursday that strips ranging from Beetle Bailey to Bizarro to Krazy Kat, along with editorial cartoons, are now available through an iTunes app, a move that gives readers access to not only the new strips daily, but classic selections from decades ago.

While the app is free, subscribers to the company's DailyINK can use it to view strips and artwork from the 90 daily offerings, along with archives dating back a year or more. A subscription ranges from just under $2 a month to $19.99 a year and the content can be viewed online, and on the iPhone and iPod touch. A version for the iPad is expected soon.

King Features Syndicate is part of Hearst Entertainment and Syndication Group.
