VERO BEACH, Fla., Dec. 17, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. (NYSE Amex:ARR) (NYSE Amex:ARR-WS) ("ARMOUR" or the "Company") today announced that it has priced a public offering of 3,850,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $7.50 per share for gross proceeds of $28,875,000. The offering is expected to close on or about December 22, 2010. The underwriters have a 45-day option to purchase a maximum of 577,500 additional shares to cover over-allotments, if any.

Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE Amex:LTS), acted as lead bookrunning manager and representative of the several underwriters in the offering.
