CHICAGO, Jan. 10, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Chicago Cubs today announced the Pick 13 Plan, featuring tickets to highly-anticipated 2011 season match-ups such as the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox. Sales begin on Cubs.com Thursday, January 13 at 10 a.m. CST.

The Pick 13 Plan features the highest-profile series ever offered in a Cubs multi-game ticket pack. Fans can customize their 13-game schedule when advancing through the Pick 13 Plan order process on Cubs.com, similar to multi-game ticket offerings in previous years. This year’s offering, however, will guarantee a selection of two games from the following marquee match-ups at Wrigley Field, including weekend dates and opponents never offered in the past:

Friday, June 17 vs. New York Yankees

Sunday, June 19 vs. New York Yankees

Saturday, July 2 vs. Chicago White Sox

Sunday, July 3 vs. Chicago White Sox

Friday, August 19 vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Saturday, August 20 vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Other match-ups featured throughout the Pick 13 Plan include series with the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, summer bleacher dates vs. the Philadelphia Phillies, weekend games vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, summer and night games vs. National League Central Division rivals and more.

"The Pick 13 Plan is the only guaranteed way for fans without a season ticket to catch some of the most exciting match-ups of the 2011 season," said Wally Hayward, executive vice president, chief marketing officer, Chicago Cubs. "Fans won’t want to miss the Yankees’ historic visit to Wrigley Field, the cross-town rivalry with the White Sox, division games against the Cardinals or many of the other great games included in these plans."

The Pick 13 Plan will be available in both the Bud Light Bleachers and in the reserved seating area of Wrigley Field. Fans must order the same number of tickets for each of the 13 games in their package. Tickets must be purchased online through Cubs.com, however questions may be directed to the Chicago Cubs Ticket Office at 773-404-4242.
