The end-of-December short interest represents 3.52 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.85 days for the prior reporting period.

In summary, short interest in all 2,854 NASDAQ® securities totaled 6,468,456,432 shares at the December 31, 2010 settlement date, compared with 2,858 issues and 6,840,507,032 shares at the end of the previous reporting period.
